Cordyceps Mushroom’s primary benefit is its purposed ability to increase the body’s production of the molecule Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP). ATP is the primary carrier of energy in cells and assists in the way your body uses oxygen, especially during exercise. Increased and improved oxygen uptake in the body can improve energy and stamina, boost performance and reduce fatigue.

Cordyceps Mushrooms are adaptogens, which are non-toxic plants marked for their ability to assist the body in resisting physical and chemical stressors. Adaptogens work on a molecular level, influencing the regulation of 3 key areas - the hypothalamic, pituitary, and adrenal glands, which are all key players in the way the body responds to and recovers from stress. GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM assists in alleviating stress as it works as an adaptogen. It also supports strength, endurance and physical vitality.

 

What you need to know before you take GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM

Do not take GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM

  • If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to mushrooms, cordyceps militaris [mycelium powder], or any of the other ingredients of GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM (listed in section 6).
  • If you suffer fromwith auto immune diseases such as auto-immune diseases” such as multiple sclerosis (MS), lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA),

 

Warnings and precautions

Take special care with GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM:

  • If you are having any surgical procedure done. You should stop taking GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM at least two weeks before an operation.

 

Children

Not intended for children younger than 18 years.

Other medicines and GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM

Always tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicine. (This includes all complementary and traditional medicines).

  • Medications that decrease the immune system (Immunosuppressants)
  • Anticoagulant/ Anti-platelets (medicines that slows blood clotting) or supplements that might slow blood clotting. Cordyceps Mushroom might slow blood clotting. Taking Cordyceps Mushroom along with medications that also slow blood clotting might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
  • Testosterone.

 

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility

Safety in fertility, pregnancy and lactation has not been established.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other health care provider for advice before taking this medicine.

Driving and using machines

GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM should not affect the ability of individuals to drive or operate machinery.

Do not share your medicines with any other person.

Always take GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults: The usual dose is 3 capsules daily.

Children: Not intended for children younger than 18 years.

 

A varied diet is the most effective and safe way to achieve good nutrition, health, body composition as well as mental and physical performance.

 

If you take more GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM than you should

In overdose, side effects can be precipitated and/or be or increased severity (see section 4.8). Treatment of overdosage is symptomatic and supportive. Activated charcoal may be administered but the use of emetics or gastric lavage should be avoided.

In the event of an overdosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available, contact the nearest hospital or poison centre.

If you forget to take GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM

Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses.

 

  1. Possible side effects

GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM can have side effects.

Not all side effects reported for GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM are included in this leaflet. Should your general health worsen or if you experience any untoward effects while taking GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM, please consult your health care provider for advice.

If any of the following happens, stop taking GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM and tell your doctor immediately or go to the casualty department at your nearest hospital.

  • swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips and mouth or throat, which may cause difficulty in swallowing or breathing,
  • rash or itching,
  • fainting.

These are all very serious side effects. If you have them, you may have had a serious reaction to GENOLOGIX CORDYCEPS MUSHROOM. You may need urgent medical attention or hospitalisation.

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following:

Frequent side effects:

  • abdominal discomfort (stomach pain),
  • constipation,
  • diarrhoea (watery stools).

Side effect with unknown frequency:

  • hepatotoxicity.

If you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.
